Two pieces written together. Vayil’Phaar was a piece I wrote for an older project called Legends of Saryia. Dans L’avenir (Into the Future) is from a project of mine called Eternal Odyssey. When I started rewriting the Vayil’Phaar piece, I noticed that kept gravitating to an older piece of mine, and Dans L’avenir just happened to be that piece. This is, of course, a work in progress and is not yet complete.
This song, written November of last year has sat on my hard drive waiting to be used for something. I tried in vain yesterday to write something, then came across this while researching my own music. For some reason, I pictured a commercial about a mother giving birth or something like that. It’s got a romantic sad warmth to it, while showing it’s only the beginning. In any case, I dedicate this song to all the mothers in 2010. Have a wonderful day!

I know it’s a bit unusual, but I figure, instead of receiving a birthday present this year, why not give one to the world? About five years ago, I wrote an experimental album entitled “Journey Into Deep Space“. Few have ever heard all of the music presented on the album, with the exception of two pieces, the title song itself and a remix of an older piece: Ateria City Theme. There are all sorts of little hidden motifs and gems written throughout the album for those who have followed any of my music since 2000. (The first real theme I ever wrote called “Land of Kumaré” is actually hidden in the first track “Prologue”. There were plans to write an entirely new album based on the ideas and themes in this older one, along with some awesome artwork and a short manga by Elin Winblad and myself, but it was ultimately shot down and will most likely never see the light of day.
I am happy to say however that I’ll be glad to upload this mini album (it’s only 30 minutes or so) for the world to hear. Hope you enjoy it!

Here’s the single from the album, “Liquid Blue Thunder”:
This is a quick peek at a song I’m currently working on at the moment. It’s a song for May 2008 now being arranged for orchestra. Give it a listen, and leave a comment! Constructive criticism is of course appreciated.
